Tanya Larson is a Managing Director at Midwest Care Management, where she supports the organization’s operations, human resources, and commitment to high-quality guardianship, care management, and power of attorney services. With more than two decades of experience across healthcare, social services, and nonprofit leadership, Tanya brings a blend of operational excellence, systems thinking, and deep compassion for the individuals and families she serves.

Since joining Midwest in 2017, Tanya has played a central role in designing and expanding our Power of Attorney program, overseeing complex estate and property matters, and ensuring thoughtful, ethical advocacy for clients with significant medical, financial, and psychosocial needs. She works closely with clients, families, courts, and professional partners to honor each person’s wishes and best interests. 

Prior to Midwest, Tanya held senior leadership roles at Erie Family Health Center, AllianceChicago, and Heartland Alliance- Heartland Health Outreach, where she supported large, mission-driven organizations serving underserved communities. Her background includes overseeing multi-site health center operations, leading health information technology and patient engagement strategies, community building, and guiding organizations through significant change and quality improvement initiatives. 

Tanya holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago, with graduate training in social services administration, healthcare  administration and policy, and a Bachelor's in English and  Women’s Studies from Edgewood University. She also holds a certification in Clinical Practice with Older Adults. She is deeply committed to mentoring staff, building strong teams, and fostering workplaces rooted in integrity, accountability, and care.

Outside of work, Tanya is a proud resident of Chicago’s quirky Rogers Park neighborhood. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs (an American Eskimo and a Coton-Poo), gardening, and exploring culture through travel. Tanya is actively engaged in supporting nonprofits and community organizations, including Women Employed, Chicago Public Schools, the Alzheimer’s Association, and First Candle, reflecting her longstanding commitment to equity, education, and community well-being.
